Puchi Noriega x Red Dot Miami

Puchi Noriega breaks the barriers of what’s possible at Red Dot Miami 2025 with two iconic sculptures that bring both physical and metaphorical depth to traditional sculptural form. Her work invites viewers to peer inside and confront the unseen tenants, pressures, and emotions that occupy our inner worlds. Through illuminated interiors, ruptured structures, and reflective surfaces, Noriega explores what it means to release what no longer serves us. This exhibition becomes an invitation to witness the chaos within ourselves- and to consider the power of finally letting go.

LET GO OF UNWANTED VISITORS

A chrome-painted sculpture of a bulbous head and a text bubble with the message "Free Your Mind." The rectangular doorway in the forehead of the piece acts as a literal window into the mind, which is filled multiple miniature figures that are illuminated by changing prismatic lights. The inside of the head is encompassed by a dome of mirrors meant to further the chaos of the mind. In view of the window, there is a rupture along the back of the head. When pivoting perspective to look at the back of the piece, the viewer will find a ladder protruding from the rupture in the skull. Climbing down the ladder are the individuals and the stresses who too often occupy one's thoughts.

THEY LIVE RENT FREE

A sculpture of a ruptured head that flashes with color-changing lights. Along the side of the head is a message, "Check Out My Tenants", which invites the beholder to peer closer to the figure. The puncture wound of the piece acts as a window for the viewer, allowing them to see the multiple people living rent-free in their mind.
